Chichilas online doll shop reported that: “Barbie celebrates the longest ruling monarch in British history”. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, whose extraordinary reign has seen her lead with an immeasurable devotion to duty and a life of service.

Concurrent with Queen’s 70 years of the throne, mattle has given her own Barbie Doll as a gift”. Barbie Doll manufacturer designed the tribute Doll to celebrate Queen’s 70 years on the throne. This is the first time Barbie has ever made a doll in the image of a living royal, however there have been dolls previously made of historical royals including Queen Elizabeth I and Marie Antoinette.

This limited edition will be sold at many websites like Harrods, Hamleys, Selfridges, John Lewis and amazon.

Greedy sellers are flogging £94 Barbie’s Queen for up to £800 because of high demands. This collectible doll with grey curly hair and stunning crown on top of that, with sculpted face looks just like Queen Elizabeth.

The crown was like the one which she wore on her wedding day and Her Majesty, in Barbie form, dons a white gown with two ribbons that was given to her by father and grand father, with miniature medallions inspired by the Royal Family Orders.

Senior Director of Barbie Design, Robert Best, explains further in a blog post about the design, “The gown is not a copy of any one dress she wears, but rather a gown inspired by the style and color of gown that she’s favored in royal portraits of herself for the past several years. If you look at those portraits or how she dresses for important events, she very much has a signature style and look—always a very simple design in white or ivory, which makes sense given that she must then wear all the accompanying jewelry and sash as befits her rank.”

For fans who may want to keep the doll in her box to preserve its collectible value, the packaging conveys the majesty and importance of the doll within. The box inspired by the form of Buckingham palace and shows the throne, red carpet of throne room.
